We are still hard at work making the game deeper and better than ever! There have been a number of non-flashy things that we got accomplished these past few weeks. Had to do some work on the back end to move character movement off of a grid based system. This means that movement feels more natural and has a higher range of accuracy. Also did a bunch of paper design for updated crafting.

Its been a few weeks since our last update because we have been hammering on a new 'dungeon' building system. We decided that a traditional farm just wasn't right for a wizard. So we decided that the wizard will own a nice tower with plenty of dungeon space underneath for building. Now you get to dig out your own areas, fill them with all the wizard's tools, and will be able to customize it at will.

This week has been primarily dominated by getting the town's handyman, Copperbottom, set up. Copperbottom is a clockwork robot villager that will fix up damaged buildings once you have supplied him with enough resources to do the job. Resources

Collecting different resources is at the core to many of the activities available to you in Seeds of Magic. There are fundamentally three types of resources. The first is what can be harvested while exploring the world. The second are resources that are crafted or created by you. And the third are resources that are purchased from a villager. These resources are then used to fix up the town, brew potions, craft other goods, or be given to a villager.

You forge those characters through their appearance, behavior and mainly through their dialog. We wanted the cast of characters in Seeds of Magic to have strong and identifiable personalities that players could really get to love.
