Been a while since last update. We are still hard at work making the game deeper and better than ever! There have been a number of non-flashy things that we got accomplished these past few weeks. Had to do some work on the back end to move character movement off of a grid based system. This means that movement feels more natural and has a higher range of accuracy. Also did a bunch of paper design for updated crafting. We want to really give a good crafting experience with lots of variety in the types of products that can be made without the system getting overly complex. We will talk more about that as time moves on.
Fast Paced Combat
We want combat to be fast, snappy and really simple to do. Here you can see the player taking on a large group of imp and blasting away with arcane magic. You probably won't fight this many enemies until deeper in the dungeons but it gives you a good idea of space and pace. We want the player to be able to make a number of different wands, trinkets and potions that will assist in battle. You will brave these dungeons in order to collect resources that are hard to get anywhere else and to help villagers with jobs they might send you on.
You will need to learn how to create different crafting stations in order to make everything you will need to succeed as a town's wizard. These kilns are great for making ceramic tiles which are then used to repair houses in the village. We plan on having kilns, cauldrons for potions, forges for metal, workstations for wands and trinkets, and many more.
Custom Lair Layout
As you grow your area you will be able to set it up however you wish. Move equipment around, rearrange where your herbs are being grown, remove or add walls to give/remove space for yourself. We wanted to keep the placement of objects within your lair nice and simple. Just equip them from your inventory or hotbar and drop them in any valid location. You can pick them up and move them whenever you wish.
